THROUGH-THE-WALL COOLING SYSTEMS

Through-the-wall wine cellar cooling units are designed to create the ideal environment for long term wine storage. Designed and assembled in the USA, our wine cellar refrigeration split systems are designed in our Nevada facility. Since each unit vents outside, they operate quietly and produce less vibration inside the cellar.

Wine-Mate’s through-the-wall cooling systems include an evaporator unit and a remote condensing unit that is connected by a liquid line and an insulated suction line. The evaporator unit can be installed between two wall studs inside a wine room with proper insulation. The condensing unit can be located up to 75 ft from the wine cellar, which helps to isolate the noise and vibration produced by the compressor. They will successfully maintain a temperature of 50-65◦F and humidity of 50-75%RH.

There are numerous benefits to owning a through-the-wall cooling unit by Wine-Mate. First, as mentioned above, the noise level is reduced since the condensing unit can be installed outside of the cellar. Second, split systems can maintain a consistent temperature and humidity, ensuring your wine collection ages well long-term. Lastly, split systems last longer and are easy to service.

In addition to the initial cost of the cooling system, we recommend contacting your local HVAC technician for the cost of installation and long-term maintenance.

When picking the right cellar cooling system for your wine room, there are several important factors to consider. First, know the exact size of your space. Second, decide how you would like the cooling system installed. Self-contained cooling systems require little setup, but some split and ducted systems will require assistance from an HVAC tech. Noise level may also affect your decision as some units may emit more sound than others. For example, if your wine room is located close to your bedroom or office, you should select a cooling system that makes less noise. Your ambient environment should also be considered. If you reside in a region that experiences freezing temperatures, there are add-ons that will help to protect your cellar during the winter months.
